Carlos Henriquez

Carlos Henriquez has recently taken delivery of his Overwater Deluxe Contemporary 5 string J Style. Featuring a 3 piece maple neck, full Burl Lacewood figured top, angled headstock with matching veneer, OW 3 band EQ and OW stacked soapbar pickups.

As a former student of Juilliard, New York, Carlos went on to take up bass duties for trumpeter, composer and bandleader Wynton Marsalis at the age of 17.

Along side his continuing role, he has also toured and recorded with likes of George Benson, Jocelyn Brown, Whitney Houston and others.

As well as extensive tours with Wynton Marsalis, Carlos teaches both electric and upright bass in his native New York.

Chris May delivered the bass to Carlos during a recent tour date at Ronnie Scotts in London.

 

Kevin Glasgow

Up-and-coming bassist 'Kevin Glasgow' seen here with his newly acquired 8 string Progress.

The bass was requested by Kevin and custom spec'd to compliment his unique sound and style.

Currently involved with a number of highly acclaimed projects, we will be following the career of the Edinburgh bassist closely.

Mark Hodgson and EA

Mark HodgsonSince leaving the Guildhall Mark (who also uses an Overwater Progress 5 electric bass) has become one of the most in-demand double bass players on the European scene; including a two year stint holding down the bottom end with Bill Bruford’s Earthworks. Mark is currently using an EA i-Amp 500 and Wizzy 112 cab to great effect.

Jim Donica

Los Angeles born and New York based jazz bassist Jim Donica has been playing professionally on the American and international music scenes for
over 20 years.

Having worked extensively with some of the world’s finest musical artists such as Maynard Ferguson, Joe Strummer, Ron Affif, Chita Rivera, and The David Becker Tribune, Jim also leads his own jazz group called Urban Survival.

Jim has also just released his latest recording called 'Stepping Up' (Apria Records) produced by Rufus Reid (with Peter Erskine - drums, Bruce Barth - piano, Randy Brecker - trumpet, Tim Armacost - tenor sax, Justin Flynn - tenor and soprano sax).
